Product Description
Wedge wire screens are made of V-shaped wire welded onto support rods, giving even slots that let liquid or gas through and hold back solids. Types include hydrogenation backwash filter elements, feed filter elements for fractionation towers, and custom designs.
The tubes are made to your slot size and dimensions.
How It Works
The flat side of the V-shaped wire faces the flow. The slot between two wires is narrowest at the surface and widens behind it, so a particle either stops at the surface or passes straight through – it cannot get stuck inside the slot. This makes the screen hard to block and easy to clean by backwashing.
Features
- Gap precision down to 0.005 mm
