A vane liquid collector collects all the liquid between two packed beds with very little resistance to the gas.
Angled plates placed between two packed beds. They catch all the liquid falling from above, so it can be mixed and passed on evenly.
Choose This Product When
- You need to collect liquid between packed beds
- You need low gas resistance
Product Description
A liquid collector between two packed beds collects the liquid from the upper bed so it can be redistributed, and mixes liquid from different positions so the next bed receives liquid of the same composition. The vane (cover plate) collector collects the liquid completely, with very low gas resistance and little effect on gas distribution.
Also called a vane collector.
How It Works
Angled vanes, like overlapping roof tiles, catch the liquid falling from the bed above and lead it into collection troughs. Gas passes upward between the vanes with very little resistance.
